%X This article explores the linguistic structure, semantic roles, and cultural implications of animal names in the English language and highlights how these names reflect cultural perceptions, metaphorical meanings, and pragmatic applications in communication by analyzing animal names as a subset of the lexicon with unique morphological and semantic features. Through a contrastive approach, the study examines how animal names function in idiomatic expressions, colloquial language, and metaphorical extensions, providing insights into how English speakers use these names to convey specific attitudes, ideas, or character traits.
