%X This review examines methodologies for teaching English as a foreign language (EFL), integrating gamification strategies with anthropocentric linguistic paradigms. Drawing on key Uzbek studies and international research, the article explores how game-based activities enhance motivation and engagement across educational levels, while anthropocentric approaches emphasize human-centered grammatical and cognitive structures. The IMRAD structure organizes the analysis: introduction to the context, methods of literature review, results from synthesized findings, and discussion of implications for EFL pedagogy in Uzbekistan and beyond. Findings suggest that combining these methodologies can improve language acquisition outcomes, particularly in culturally specific contexts.
