%T THE INFLUENCE OF ROOT NUMBERS ON THE GROWTH AND  DEVELOPMENT OF COTTON
%X This article investigates the effect of the number of shoots on the growth and development of melon plants. Experimental results demonstrated that maintaining different numbers of shoots led to favorable changes in the main stem height, number of flowers and fruits, as well as their development. The research revealed that varying the number of shoots increases the productive potential of melon plants and enhances their adaptive characteristics. Consequently, optimizing nutrient regimes not only ensures optimal plant growth and development but also serves as an essential agronomic measure for achieving sustainable yield improvement.&nbsp;
