%X This article provides a detailed comparative analysis of heroines in modern Uzbek and English literature. It focuses on how women characters are portrayed as reflections of social values, cultural norms, and ideological struggles. Uzbek heroines are often depicted ascustodians of tradition, morality, and family honor, while English heroines embody individual autonomy, feminist critique, and the pursuit of personal freedom. The research draws on the works of O‘tkir Hoshimov, Tog‘ay Murod, and Xurshid Do‘stmuhammad in Uzbek literature, and Margaret Atwood, Zadie Smith, and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie in English literature. The analysis highlights the similarities and contrasts in the heroines’ social roles, psychological depth, and symbolic significance, revealing their importance as agents of cultural transformation in modern society.
