%T CLIMATE CHANGE AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PATHWAYS  IN CENTRAL ASIA
%X  Central Asia is experiencing rapid warming, which is impacting water, land, food, energy, health, and stability. This article synthesises the region's climate challenges and proposes a sustainable development agenda focused on water-energy-food-ecosystems (WEFE) nexus governance, decarbonization, climate-resilient agriculture, urban adaptation, and inclusive finance. It emphasises transboundary cooperation on shared rivers (Amu Darya and Syr Darya), irrigation modernisation, a just energy transition, nature-based solutions for dust and biodiversity loss, and data-driven monitoring.
