%X This article examines the development of a universal film bedding device designed for planting melons and watermelons under polyethylene film under the conditions of Uzbekistan. A structural and technological analysis of existing film-laying devices in world and national experience was conducted, and their main shortcomings were identified. The proposed device allows for the formation of ridges, the installation of elastic drip irrigation pipes, and the application of polyethylene film in a single pass. The main design parameters and technological scheme of the device are substantiated. According to the results obtained, the new device will save 30-40% of water resources and increase labor productivity by 2-2.5 times.
