%X This article examines the semantic and stylistic features of phraseological units used in the short novels of the contemporary Uzbek writer Nazar Eshonqul. The study focuses on the contextual semantic transformations of phraseological expressions, their psychological and evaluative functions, and their role in shaping the author's individual style. The findings demonstrate that phraseological units in the writer’s prose function not merely as fixed linguistic elements but as significant linguopoetic devices that enhance imagery, convey characters’ inner states, and deepen the artistic content of the text. The results of the research contribute to both theoretical and practical studies of phraseology in literary texts
