Ayyubiylar sulolasidan keyin Misr va Suriya hududlarida hukmronlik qilgan Mamluklar davrida qipchoq tili asosiy aloqa va harbiy tilsifatida shakllangan. Shu sababli arab olimlari tomonidan turkiy, xususan qipchoq tilini o‘rganish va arab tilida izohlovchi qo‘llanmalar yaratish an’anasi paydo bo‘lgan. Maqolada “Kodeks Kumanikus”, “Kitab ul-Idrok li Lisan il-Atrok” va “At-tuhfatuz zakiyatu fil-lug‘atit-turkiya” asarlari mazmuni, tuzilishi hamda tilshunoslikdagi o‘rni ilmiy nuqtai nazardan tahlil etiladi. Ushbu asarlar turkiy tillarning XIV asrdagi fonetik, morfologik va leksik tizimini o‘rganishda bebaho manba hisoblanadi.
