Frazeologizmlar xalq tafakkuri va milliy madaniyatning eng muhim qatlamlaridan biri bo‘lib, ular orqali tarixiy xotira, ijtimoiy qadriyatlar hamda milliy ideal aks etadi. Tadqiqot davomida o‘zbek tilidagi “jonini fido qilish”, “jonini tikmoq”, “fidoyi yigit” kabi barqaror iboralar hamda ingliz tilidagi “to lay down one’s life”, “to give one’s all”, “to die for one’s country” kabi birliklar qiyosiy jihatdan o‘rganildi. Tahlillar shuni ko‘rsatadiki, o‘zbek frazeologiyasida fidoyilik ko‘proq jamoaviy qadriyatlar, Vatan va xalq manfaatlariga xizmat qilish bilan bog‘liq bo‘lsa, ingliz tilida individual jasorat va shaxsiy burchni bajarish asosiy o‘rinda turadi.
