%X The role of using modern technology devices in current academic life and its effects on students’ learning style, motivation and participation are explored in this article. As well as, this paper is dedicated to highlighting an example of technology -based method in teaching English language in Japan. Just like a coin two sides, technology-based teaching approach has not only a good, but also a bad influence on students’ academic knowledge and behaviour. While advancing soft skills , such as verbal communication, critical thinking and knowledge retention,  the modern robots has many side-effects , including technical distrubtions, lack of respect for human teachers and over-reliance on  AI.
