The contributions of major scholars who shaped the methodology and the theoretical foundations supporting its implementation are also discussed. Furthermore, the paper examines the effective integration of PBL in EFL classrooms, focusing on its linguistic and cognitive aspects while offering practical recommendations for educators. A review of empirical research demonstrates the impact of PBL on language acquisition, critical thinking, and collaborative learning. Findings suggest that PBL significantly enhances students' language skills, fosters independent and creative thinking, and equips them with problem-solving abilities applicable to real-life situations. The study also addresses the challenges associated with implementing PBL in EFL, such as time and resource constraints and group dynamics issues, while proposing strategies to overcome these obstacles.
