THE ROLE OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS EXPRESSING “GRATITUDE” IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGESRahimova ShahnozaJo’raqulovnaauthorThis article analyzes the role of phraseological units expressing "gratitude" in both English and Uzbek languages. The similarities and differences between the gratitude expressions in these two languages, as well as the cultural context unique to each, are examined. In English, gratitude expressions range from the simple "Thank you" to more complex ones like "I appreciate it" and "Much obliged." In Uzbek, phrases like "Rahmat" and "Shukur qilmoq" carry deeper spiritual and cultural meanings.
