%X This article examines the typology of the sonnet genre in English and Karakalpak literature, focusing on structural, thematic, and stylistic distinctions and similarities. This comparative study outlines the introduction of the sonnet into Karakalpak literature, examining how it has been shaped by local poetic forms. Through structural analysis and thematic exploration, the study reveals how the sonnet serves as both a bridge and a contrast between these two cultures, illustrating shared human concerns alongside distinct cultural influences. The findings suggest that while the sonnet’s structural aspects remain largely consistent, its thematic depth and stylistic expressions reflect the unique linguistic and cultural landscapes of each tradition. This article highlights the sonnet’s adaptability across cultures and underscores its relevance within both English and Karakalpak literary traditions.
